Conflict Mineral Policy:
SourceGate recognizes the Conflict Minerals Policy and understands that it aims to help stem the illegal trade of 3TG(tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold) as an effort to tackle human rights abuses and hinder armed groups and criminals from carrying out their activities, especially in countries identified by the U.S. Government and other global and industry organizations, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC) and the 9 countries adjoining it. SourceGate stands by this policy and is committed to doing its due diligence in verifying that our suppliers meet the Conflict Minerals Regulation in accordance with the U.S. Government and any local or state regulation requirements. SourceGate is committed to verifying and ensuring that our suppliers obtain 3TG and other materials in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, only sourcing 3TG from conflict free sources.
Modern Slavery and Child Labour Policy:
SourceGate recognises the following fundamental points under the Modern Slavery and Child Labour Policy
-“Basic minimum age” to work is 15 years
-“Age for hazardous work” is 18 years
-Modern Slavery is a crime and violates fundamental human rights
Child labour is work that deprives children of their childhood, potential and dignity, and is harmful to their physical and mental development
SourceGate strongly condemns modern slavery and child labour abusers. We seek to identify and address such violations in our office, supply chain and operations to the best of our ability. SourceGate is committed to sourcing our products from suppliers that abide by the Modern Slavery and Child Labour Policy to ensure that we protect the rights of not only our workers but those within our supply chain as well.
Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation
SourceGate recognises that POPs are organic substances that remain in the environment for long periods of time and pose a risk to the health of living organisms and the environment. SourceGate understands that the POPs Regulation aims to protect human health and the environment using specific control measures implemented throughout the production chain. SourceGate assures customers that we source from suppliers, to the best of our knowledge, that abide by this regulation so as to play our part in fighting climate change.
